My Music

What feelings do the illustrations in the banner evoke from you? Playful … jazzy … adventuresome … silly?

Art inspires art. It begins with the author whose words inspires the visual artist. The blend of the rhythmic words and the visual artist’s interpretation inspires me to compose music.

  • The rhythm of the author’s verses suggests a time signature and the words become the lyrics for my songs.
  • The illustrations bring the author’s words to life, further helping me to create the setting and convey the feeling with my music.

For each song below, the link takes you to a page with my composer notes and an audio clip of the song. As you read my notes and listen to the songs, what do you think? Did I do my job of translating the feeling behind the words and illustrations into music?
